Lido Key

South Lido Beach is the third of Lido Key’s beaches and is a great place to get back to nature.

Welcome to Lido Key

Lido Key is a barrier island off the coast of Sarasota, FL. It is part of the city of Sarasota and is connected to mainland Sarasota by John Ringling Causeway. Lido Key is located on Florida’s Gulf Coast and is part of the Sarasota area. It is only about an hour drive south of the Tampa Bay area.

Lido Key boasts three wonderful beaches each with its own personality. To the north and famous for its seclusion, North Lido Beach is a great place for a quiet walk on the beach or the perfect place to work on your tan while enjoying that best seller book you have been meaning to read.

Lido Beach is a favorite among locals and visitors. Served by lifeguards, Lido Beach is popular with beach lovers who enjoy the sugar white sand, plenty of free parking, restrooms, picnic tables and more.

South Lido Beach is the third of Lido Key’s beaches and is a great place to get back to nature. South Lido Park and Nature Center offers visitors’ nature trails to explore, picnic areas, kayaking and canoeing. South Lido Beach is a popular family picnic area with its shade trees, grills, restrooms and more.

Lido Key boasts some of the most luscious beaches in the world, but that’s just the tip of the sandbar. Lido Key has an incredibly laid-back vibe and offers a variety of accommodations. Plus, it’s an easy walk to St. Armands Circle where you will find amazing boutiques and eateries.

The circle is a strolling-shopper’s paradise with more than 130 stores. Its flavor is distinctly continental, with courtyards and patios scattered among lush tropical growth and antique statues. You can feast by candlelight in a gourmet restaurant, eat outside or cuddle up in a cozy café. If you are hungry or thirsty Lido Key and St. Armand’s Circle offers locals and visitors alike plenty of choices to satisfy any taste.

Lido Key is accessible from Sarasota to the east by using John Ringling Boulevard and from the north by traveling south from Longboat Key. Lido Key is also home to the world famous St. Armands shopping district. Referred to as St. Armands Circle, this high end shopping and dining area is home to some of Florida's finest stores and shops. St. Armands is also famous for its wide variety of restaurants from upscale gourmet to laid back Florida beach style taverns.
